The Meaning of Price and Value
Value refers to real worth, and price is a man-made label called "price tag". The value can be determined, but the price is not; bargaining is an attempt by the seller and the buyer to harmonize price and value; the seller wants to get the price over the value, and the buyer wants to get the value over the price. The seller offers a price first, and the buyer thinks the price is too high.
The seller says, "You get what you pay for," meaning it's worth the money you pay for it.
The buyer says, "It's worth it, that's why I want to buy it; but it's not worth the price," meaning that the price is higher than the value, and it's not worth buying.
The seller says, "You get what you pay for," meaning that price and value are equal.
The buyer says: "I think it's half a penny, half a penny is not worth a penny, do not buy!" It means a 50% reduction in price.
The seller says, "Okay, I'll sell it to you for half price." Now the buyer probably knows that he has been duped, but the fish is on the hook and he has to pay. What is the reason for being fooled? Is that the buyer does not know how much that thing is really worth? Traveling abroad to buy things nine out of ten fooled! Because of the things to buy do not know enough (especially such as medicinal herbs, jade, antiques and so on), can not make the correct value judgment; only by simple ideas: has been reduced by half should not lose it. But those treacherous merchants have long penetrated the customer (especially tourists) psychology, let you reduce prices by half, and then deducted to the guide half, but also earn you half!
Things have their value, the price also has its value, the value of the price is greater than the value of the thing is not worth buying, if you buy is not wise.
Intelligence is the ability to make the right value judgment and choice. This includes all choices in life, even the choice between life and death. The Lord Jesus voluntarily gave up his life, the value of which is to be able to save all mankind from perishing, but to obtain eternal life. Paul was also faced with the choice between life and death, and in the end he chose life, the value of which was to be able to help the church and provide for its needs (Philippians 1:21-24)
Subjective and objective, relative and absolute values
Subjective and relative values: There are great differences in value depending on the person, the time, the place, or other factors. or other factors, there is a great disparity of value! Such as photos, emails, certificates, souvenirs, "charcoal" for "sending charcoal in the snow", "come" for "the most difficult to wind and rain of the deceased", "come" for "drowning", "come" for "drowning", "come" for "drowning", and "come" for "drowning". ", drowning in a tree trunk ...... to other people, in other times or places, may be worthless (such as charcoal and tree trunks), but to the person can be seen as priceless, and even equal to the value of life!
Objective and absolute value: the value of existence that has a value that never changes and does not change with any factor. Human life is objective and absolute value.
Some other seem to be relative and absolute, depending on what angle to look at; such as gold, paintings, music, for the uneducated layman, can be seen as a useless thing, for the insiders who know the goods, but to see it as the most precious. But this "absolute" value is still different from the "absolute" value of human life. Although gold will not lose its value because people call it copper; but for a person trapped on a desert island, the gold is not as good as a piece of fruit on the tree, and its value still can not be regarded as the real absolute. Only man has absolute value, because man's value is affirmed by God, and God is the unchanging basis of all value. Jesus said that man has a higher value than the whole world, and that if man wants to trade the whole world for his life he is making a foolish decision, for that is a wrong value judgment!
Christian values of life
1. Human life has absolute value and is of very high value!
Is the value of human life objective and absolute or subjective and relative? Isn't there a "big man" and a "little man", a "very important person" (V.I.P.) and a "nobody" (no one) in society? There are "little people", "very important people" (V.I.P.) and "nobody" (nobody), aren't there? It's not news that tens of thousands of people starve to death every day, but it's front-page news that some people are sick or injured! The world has no standards for human values. If you want to know from the newspaper what is the price of life? What is the price of life? It will only confuse you forever!
What is the price of life? What is the value of life? The Bible affirms that human life is of great value:
"Not one of those who boast of their riches in their possessions can redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom on his behalf, that he may live long, and not see decay; for the value of the ransom of his life is exceedingly high, and it can only rest forever." (Psalm 49:7-9) "In the eyes of the LORD, behold the death of the holy people is exceedingly precious." (Psalm 116:15) "What shall it profit a man if he earns the whole world and loses his life? What else can a man give in exchange for his life?" (Mt 16:26) "That man has the highest value of all created things is evident from the fact that God sent His only Son to lay down His life for man."
2. The value of life is not the same for everyone
"Life is valuable and useful; why describe it as good? Good men are like grains, and all men are like weeds." ---- Wu Jia Ji Poem "Life is valuable and useful"
