What is the firing process of ceramics in Jingdezhen? Please briefly introduce?
The ceramic firing process in Jingdezhen mainly consists of the following eight parts, which are composed of practicing clay, pulling billet, printing billet, li billet, sun billet, engraving, glazing, and kiln firing. The main raw materials in the firing process of Jingdezhen ceramics are porcelain clay and glaze, which have a very long history. From the Song Dynasty onwards, the raw materials of porcelain clay in Jingdezhen have adopted the binary structure method, adding high concrete in the general clay to enhance the whiteness as well as the denseness of the porcelain, and the porcelain made is very beautiful and welcomed by the public.
Before firing the ceramics, the workers need to take the porcelain stone from the mine, by cracking it with a hammer and using tools to break the lumpy magnet into powder form. The powdered china clay is panned, washed to remove the impurities in it, and precipitated to make a lumpy clay block. Take an appropriate amount of water to blend the clay lumps, remove the impurities in them, and rub with your hands to expel the air from the clay lumps, so that the moisture in the lumps will be more uniform. After that, the lumps of clay are dropped on the turntable of the wheelbarrow and kneaded by hand into the shape of the desired billet.
The next part is the printing of the blank, the shape of the ceramic is mainly determined by the direction of the arc of the blank, according to the shape of the ceramics made, the made blank is attached to the model, evenly patted on the outside wall of the blank, and then the blank is demolded. After that, the made blanks are put on the wheel car, and the wheel car's disk is turned, and the shape of the blanks is constantly rotated with the knife, and the inside of the blanks should be kept smooth, and the thickness of the blanks is also required, and this step is very demanding for the skill of the workers.
Place the molded blanks in a dry place to dry, after drying, you can use the knife to carve the pattern on the blanks. After the pattern is drawn, the glaze is beaten with special materials and applied to the repaired billet in different ways. The final step in firing the ceramics is the kiln firing, where the made ceramics are placed in a refractory material to prevent the billet from coming into direct contact with the kiln fire and to avoid contamination of the billet. Jingdezhen ceramic firing process is about this, I hope to help people.
