How many what parts does an automobile consist of

Automobiles are usually made up of four parts: the engine, the chassis, the body and the electrical (electronic) equipment.

1. The engine is the power unit of the automobile, and its function is: to make the fuel supplied into it burn and send out power. General automobile are used reciprocating piston internal combustion engine. It consists of the body and crank connecting rod mechanism, gas distribution mechanism, fuel supply system, cooling system, lubrication system, ignition system (gasoline engine) and start system.

2. Chassis: consists of transmission system, traveling system, steering system and braking system.

1) Driveline: It is to receive the power from the engine and transfer it to the driving wheels. It includes: clutch, transmission, universal drive and drive axle.

2) driving system: is to make the car of the general term and parts installed in the appropriate position, and the whole car to play a supporting role to ensure that the car normal driving. It includes: frame, axle, suspension, wheels and so on.

3) steering system: is to make the car according to the direction given by the driver. It includes: steering gear, steering transmission mechanism, some cars also have power steering device.

4) braking system: for the car to slow down or stop, and to ensure that the driver left the car is still reliably stay in place, it includes: brake and brake transmission mechanism.

3. Body: is the formation of the driver and passengers ride space devices, but also the storage of luggage and other items.

4. Electrical equipment: is an important part of the car, it consists of power supply, engine ignition system (gasoline engine) and starting system, lighting and signaling devices, air-conditioning instrumentation and alarm system and auxiliary appliances.
