There are 12 dragon boat associations named after the surnames of the villages in Chebei Village.

12 teams are divided into 6 groups, and the first stage of the competition is held on the east-west route. The top six enter the second stage of the competition according to their scores, and then the top three are decided by pairs. The track starts from Longxi Bridge (18th Bridge) in Chebeiyong, and returns to Huilong after taking the flag at Shamei Bridge, with a total length of more than 600 meters.

Before the dragon boat race, the fourth place can get a roast golden pig. After the game, the contestants happily carried the crispy golden pig to the ancestral hall to share with their clansmen, and set up dozens or even hundreds of dragon boat meals to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.

The so-called "inviting scenery" means sending invitations to brother villages and laobiao villages on the third day of the fifth lunar month and the Dragon Boat Festival every year. If Brother Village and Laobiao Village accept the invitation, it will be "appropriate". The day will attract more than 200 dragon boats from Huangpu, Panyu, Haizhu and Tianhe to cruise. Dragon boats will be beautifully dressed, colorful flags will fly on the river, and some villagers will even wear traditional costumes.

Relatives, friends and guests from all walks of life get together to catch up, drink tea and eat dragon boat cakes. There's a saying in the countryside that "it's usually an enemy, eat a cake and smile at the Dragon Boat Festival", which means that as long as you come to visit relatives at the Dragon Boat Festival, you can make enemies in the past and go with Jiang Feng. In the past, the Dragon Boat Festival in Chebei Village was not only a dragon boat race and a scenic spot, but also invited the troupe to set up a stage to sing Cantonese opera in the village for three consecutive nights from the third day of May.

Today's party not only continues this traditional folk activity, but also incorporates modern wonderful performances. Previous performances such as "Dragon Dance", cross-border drums, sand painting hand shadow play, passionate street dance and fancy basketball are impressive, and this year's party is also expected.

Watching Cantonese Opera: International Dragon Boat Festival

This year's Dragon Boat Festival, Chebei has set up two special sections, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival Carnival, to display ancestral hall dramas and literary works with the theme of dragon boats in seven ancestral halls and public spaces in Chebei.
