The ancient city of Weishan, once the birthplace of the ancient Nanzhao, is a must-see place for Yunnan travelers!

Western Zhou period of the White House

Bai ethnic dwellings are generally closed, the main house sitting in the west to the east. Most of the two-story building, there are "a party of two ears", "two rooms a ear", "three parties a bright wall", "four hundred and fifty days ", "six into a spring", "horse corner building" and other forms. The most common is "three grid a bright wall". The Bai folk dwellings pay special attention to the decoration of the walls, ramparts, mountain walls and gateways. In the middle of the wall, a layer of lime was applied. The book is carved in four eyes or embedded in a marble screen. Most of the doors and windows were made of precious woods, such as muyun and toon, and were carved with auspicious motifs, such as golden chickens, eyebrows and unicorns. The doors are of green mountain stone with sharp angles, and the wooden doors are beautifully carved with flying eaves that are cocked on the shelves. The Bai people pursue the beauty and neatness of their houses, together with the tradition of loving flowers and planting flowers, so there are usually flower beds in the yard. Plant some camellias, osmanthus, flower beds, potted flowers.

The Zhou Dynasty Xibai Building is the most complete and characteristic Bai architectural complex existing in Dali. Tourists who are interested in architectural art should not miss this place. Here, we can have a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the unique style of Bai architecture of "three rooms and one wall" and "four heats and five patios". The key protection units of the Xizhou residential complex are Yang Pinxiang Building, Yan Jia Yuan, Dong Family Courtyard and Zhao Fulou Complex. Yan Jia Yuan has now become a folkloric tourist attraction of the Bai people, where you can watch singing and dancing performances and taste Bai San Tao tea. Yanjiayuan is the former residence of Yan Zizhen, a capitalist of the Western Zhou Dynasty. It consists of two courtyards, four quadrangles and a courtyard, three squares and a wall.

Yang Pingxiang's home is on the south side of West Street, North Village, Xi Zhou Town. It consists mainly of two courtyards, three rooms and a wall. The exquisite wood carvings are especially prominent. The architecture of the Dong family compound incorporates the architectural style of the Central Plains, with a corridor of "three rooms and a wall" and "four-fifths of a courtyard", and the front and back courtyards are free to move around. There is also a main building on the west side, and the whole building is a completely western-style villa building. Zhaofu is located at No. 21, Taijie Lane, Xizhou Office. It is fashionable to enter the four courses. The most visited is the Yan family compound.

Bus: There are direct buses to Xizhou from Dali North Bus Station. The fare is 5~8 yuan per person.

The entrance fee for Yan Family Compound is 50 yuan (including three tea dance performances).

Zhoucheng

Zhoucheng is close to Xizhou. I love tie-dye and am interested in the process of making tie-dye. You can drop by Zhoucheng. Some of them are tie-dye workshops. The tie-dye cloth here is cheaper than the tie-dye cloth in Dali Yangren Street.

Bus: Dali Passenger Transportation Building Huabei to Zhoucheng.

Huadian Dam

Huadian Dam is a recommended route for hikers. Located in the north of the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain, between the two peaks of Yunlang Mountain, Hwadian Dam consists of large and small flower beds. The dam contains 10,000 Huaxi villages. It is said to be named for its year-round colorfulness. Huadian Dam is an alpine meadow with flat and fertile soil. In winter, it is a good place to enjoy the snowy scenery. In spring and summer, alpine azaleas, camellias, white beans, peonies, and nameless wildflowers converge among the mountains to form a sea of flowers. Huadian is true to its name.

Legend has it that there was a village in the Jin Dynasty. It was a paradise. Today, there is a Bai natural village and a breeding station on the Bwadian Dam. Few tourists are suitable for camping.

Weishan Ancient City

Weishan Ancient City, the birthplace of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom, now Weishan Yi Autonomous County, covers an area of nearly 3 square kilometers. Weishan was first built in the Ming Dynasty. In addition, there are other Ming and Qing buildings in the city, such as the Temple of Literature, the Temple of Guan Di, the Temple of Qian Miao, the College of Literature, the Palace of the Sun, and the Temple of Cold Spring. These ancient buildings are beautifully crafted, structurally rigorous and beautifully carved, reflecting the superb architectural art of the ancient Weishan forefathers. People in the old town still follow a simple way of life, quiet and peaceful, with a slow pace of life. Wei Baoshan

Baoshan is located about 10 kilometers southeast of Weishan County. It is a famous Taoist mountain, as majestic as Mount Qingcheng in Sichuan. It is also a national scenic spot. The existing Taoist temples were built in the Tang and Ming dynasties.

Legend has it that Wei Baoshan was the grazing land of Sanluo, the founder of Nanzhao, and later Meng was established in Dazi, Weishan. After several generations, the grandson of this serf Piloting merged various tribes and established the Nanzhao Kingdom. In the Tang Dynasty, the name of the mountain was "King of Yunnan". This mountain is surrounded by ancient trees. Birds compete in the forest. The Taoist temple is built on the mountain in the middle of a green field. Quiet mountain forest with few tourists. This is really a good place for Taoist priests to clean up.
