What is our traditional festival?
The traditional festivals in China mainly include Spring Festival (the first day of the first month), Lantern Festival (the fifteenth day of the first month), Tomb-Sweeping Day (around April 5 of the Gregorian calendar), Dragon Boat Festival (the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar), Chinese Valentine's Day (the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar), Mid-Autumn Festival (the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar), Double Ninth Festival (the ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar) and Winter Solstice Festival (the Gregorian calendar 65438+February 26544)
The Spring Festival is a particularly grand festival for China people. No matter how far away from home, they will go home to reunite with their families on this festival. Every year on December 30 of the lunar calendar, every family will sit around the table and have a reunion dinner. During the Spring Festival, every household will visit relatives and friends to celebrate the New Year.
The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival, which has a long history. This is a festival in memory of Qu Yuan of Chu State. China people have a tradition of Dragon Boat Festival, that is, they will definitely eat zongzi, race dragon boats and eat realgar wine. People along the Miluo River will also throw zongzi into the river to feed the fish and insects in the Miluo River, so that these creatures will not eat Qu Yuan's body.
On August 15, when the moon is full, people will get together to eat moon cakes and enjoy the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival. If people live near Qiantang River, they may go to see the tide on this day. Every day, everyone will think of Su Shi's particularly famous poem "I wish people a long time and a thousand miles of beautiful scenery" to pin their thoughts on their families.
Because Tanabata is the most romantic festival in China, it has the cultural meaning of Valentine's Day in China. The beautiful legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl is well known, so Valentine's Day in China is generally a festival for lovers, with the theme of blessing, begging and love, which is deeply loved by many young people.
I won't elaborate on other festivals here.
