Disadvantages of digitalization of life

In addition to personal information being leaked and used for commercial purposes without knowing it, more and more researches are worried that the heavy dependence on digital technology may make individuals and society pay a heavy price, such as the increase of psychological pressure and suicide probability, the decrease of attention in the information overload environment, and ultimately affect the overall happiness. Pew's report summarizes the negative effects of five digital technologies:

Damage-people's cognitive and thinking abilities are challenged, such as logical analysis, memory, concentration and creativity;

Addiction-many online businesses essentially improve public adhesion by stimulating dopamine;

Division-shock, fear and anger are packaged and vented online, which in turn promotes social division and distrust;

Stress-information overload, lack of trust between people and decline in face-to-face communication ability will all lead to an increase in people's anxiety, depression and autism;

Vulnerability-The development of digital technology has always been accompanied by threats to various information security.
