The difference between ancient ceramics and modern ceramics
2. glaze. Observing the glaze is mainly to observe its gloss. Due to the age of ancient porcelain, the glaze usually has a moist feeling, and some porcelain also has clam light, a typical example is Tang Sancai. Many lights on modern porcelain are floating, which is a bit dazzling compared with ancient porcelain.
3. pigments. The pigments used in ancient porcelain are different from those used in modern porcelain. For example, the blue and white porcelain in Kangxi period was made in Zhejiang.
4. painter. The glazed surface of ancient porcelain is very layered, and the birds and animals and flowers on it are vivid and have distinct characteristics of the times.
5. feet. Many feet of ancient porcelain are exposed, and the fetal quality is very hard. Shiny tires can also be seen on the tire surface, because there are traces of natural wear and tear due to age. If the traces of antique modern porcelain are man-made, the feet are not natural.
6. Bubbles. The size of bubbles in the glaze of ancient porcelain is different, and the distance between bubbles is sparse, while the bubbles in modern porcelain are dense.
