An Pingqiu, male, born in October 1941, a native of Beijing, of Manchu ethnicity, is a renowned scholar of literature and history, a professor of the Department of Chinese at Peking University, a doctoral supervisor, and the director of the National Working Committee of Ancient Books Arrangement and Research in Colleges and Universities. He is a professor of the Chinese Department of Peking University, a doctoral supervisor, and the director of the National Research Committee on the Organization of Ancient Books in Colleges and Universities. His scope of study is classical Chinese literature and traditional culture, with the main direction of pre-Qin and Han literature, focusing on the study of Sima Qian's "The Records of the Grand Historian", and the study of the relationship between traditional Chinese culture and social life.
