The Cultural Characteristics of Yibin

Beauty of Bamboo: Yibin is a city surrounded by green bamboo. The bamboo sea in southern Sichuan, famous for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is the representative of "bamboo beauty" in Yibin, with a breeze 120 square kilometers. Looking around, there are bamboo waves everywhere. Huang Tingjian, a scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty, said that the bamboo sea in southern Sichuan is magnificent and vigorous.

Bamboo Art: Changning and Jiang 'an counties in Yibin are rich in bamboo resources, and many handicrafts made of bamboo have been formed, covering all aspects of people's lives, including bamboo carving, bamboo root carving and bamboo weaving. Bamboo dishes: Yibin people make all kinds of dishes with bamboo as raw material, and then form a "full bamboo mat". Different varieties of bamboo and different parts of bamboo in different growth periods can be mixed with other delicious raw materials to make "bamboo delicacies", such as bamboo rice, bamboo root wine, bamboo leaf Ba Huang, three fresh bamboo shoots soup, cold shredded bamboo shoots and so on. In Yibin, there are the Yangtze River, Jinsha River and Minjiang River, as well as Ganjiang, Fujiang, Hengjiang, Yuexi, Nanguang, Huangshahe and River Verdon. Among them, Litchi Valley has sister trees, which were identified by experts from Southwest Agricultural College as planted before the Tang Dynasty and passed down from generation to generation as Gong Li. It is still flourishing for more than a thousand years, with a dry week of 5.6 meters and a height of 16 meters.

Baigaochao

There are more than 280 batik patterns preserved by Miao people.
