Dragon Boat Festival Handbook First Prize (Inheriting Chinese Culture, Showing Creative Talents)

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of China's traditional festivals, which is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. On this special day, people come together to wrap zongzi, race dragon boats, hang mugwort and wear colorful silk threads to pray for peace and health. In order to pass on the Chinese culture and show my creative talent, I participated in the Dragon Boat Festival Handwriting Competition organized by my school and won the first prize.

Creative Idea of Handbill

Before participating in the handbill competition, I first conducted a lot of research and learned about the origins of the Dragon Boat Festival and traditional customs. Through consulting information and reading related books, I had a deeper understanding of the Dragon Boat Festival and began to conceptualize the idea of the handbill.

First of all, I decided to take the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival as the theme and show the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival and related legends and stories in a graphic way. I used colored paper and paper-cutting skills to create a beautiful pattern with a concise and clear text description so that people can understand the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival at a glance.

Secondly, I divided the handbill into several sections to introduce the traditional customs and related activities of the Dragon Boat Festival. I used different colors and fonts to highlight the key points and make the handbill more vivid and interesting. I also added some interactive elements to the handbill, such as foldable dumplings and movable dragon boats, so that people could experience the fun of the Dragon Boat Festival for themselves.

3. Use colored paper and paper-cutting skills to make patterns and decorations.

4. Paste patterns and text onto the handbill, paying attention to typography and font choice.

5. Add interactive elements such as folds and moveable parts.

6. Trim the handbill to add details and highlights.

7. Check the quality and accuracy of the handbill, making any necessary changes and adjustments.

8. After completing the handbook, display and publicize it.
