● Has there been a great change in the original experimental works? =====
This song MP-3Starscream is another producer after HybridStyle-02Convoy. When I saw the experimental work of Starscream made by TAKARATOMY, I took this opportunity to make a lot of suggestions because TAKARATOMY said at that stage that "it doesn't matter even if it is changed on a large scale".
Basically, in the initial experimental stage, the modeling from above has been done very well, but in the following part, there are still some "Diaclone", "Combat Robot" in other words "Transformers (hereinafter referred to as TF)" Starscream, which can not help but make people whisper "hmm ~?" This place. Anyway, these places are still very interesting, right? At least, I think as an airplane, some parts have great air resistance, so something must be done anyway.
Although as a "TF" toy, the deformed robot state must have details and bumps that conform to the world view, the "front longitudinal section" is unacceptable. In addition, even if you can temporarily turn a blind eye because it is a small place of the deformation toy, you want to create a work that can be smoothly connected and combined into a whole.
● Is this work quite close to the real body? =====
In order to add the deformation mechanism naturally, there are still several places that cannot be realized in any case without making some modifications on the real body. Originally, it was based on the common F- 15, but considering the sense of quantity of hands and feet, because F- 15 StrikeEagle is more suitable, so I finally decided to use StrikeEagle. I think the arc of the engine part is the charm of F- 15. But the Starscream engine of the experimental work was blocked by the tail wing, which I think is really a waste. Unfortunately, legs are wings, and the original good figure was murdered like this.
So, this time, try to move the tail up. Also, the toe deformation mechanism in robot form is also very interesting. Include deformed parts, but in terms of the number of joints, it must be a multiple of VF- 1 Valkyrie.
● What is the most promising part of robot form? =====
Although it is part of the original factory test work, part of the nose is folded under the canopy, which makes people feel that it is done well. On the other hand, because what I did here is very interesting, it gives me a kind of courage: as I said just now, we must achieve the same quality for the problem of air resistance. Then the nozzle is also good. Although it is different from the actual body, it is made into a three-dimensional nozzle that can move like shaking its head, and it also improves the landing performance of the robot.
But then again, the gatling gun (Gatling machine gun) on the side of the car body is also a good place. Although the actual attack eagle was only equipped with Gatling machine guns on the right side, because Starscream is a Transformers, it was installed on both sides this time. It can also be used as a weapon on the shoulder in the robot state.
Recently, my robot design deliberately deviated from the proportion of human design. But this MP-3Starscream, I hope some people will think it is an attempt to keep the nostalgic style in a sense and add some elements of today's style. Just like upgrading Valkyrie to Super Valkyria, I think it will be easy this time.
What do you think of coloring? =====
The overall tone may feel different according to everyone's preferences, but the real reproduction of StrikeEagle is given priority. Because now the style of the real entity has been truly displayed, I want to refer to the real entity in coloring. As I said just now, it is a key point to eliminate the sense of disharmony from below and from above. In the robot form, blue will be dispersed to different parts such as arms and body, while in the airplane form, blue cannot be dispersed. This consideration is also an important point in deciding the color scheme used now.
