The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing, China from February 4 to February 20, 2022, with a duration of 17 days.

Schedule

The Beijing Winter Olympics consists of seven competition areas, including Yanqing, Zhangjiakou and Beijing, with 109 events. Among them, traditional ice and snow events such as short track speed skating, speed skating, freestyle skiing, curling, snowmobile and sleigh will be unveiled one by one, and new events such as snowboarding, freestyle skiing aerial skills, big platform skiing and women's ice hockey will be added.

Venue introduction

There are 25 competition venues in Beijing Winter Olympics, including new venues 13 and existing venues 12. The following are the introductions of some venues:

National speed skating hall

Located in Yanqing District, Beijing, the National Speed Skating Hall is one of the main venues of this Winter Olympics and the first professional indoor speed skating hall in China. The venue is hyperboloid design, which can accommodate 12000 spectators. After the Olympic Games, the stadium will become the national ice sports training base.

National Ski Jumping Centre

National ski jumping center is located in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City. It is one of the main venues of this Winter Olympics and the first professional ski jumping center in China. The venue * * * has two platforms, a large platform and a small platform, which can accommodate 1 1000 spectators. After the Olympic Games, the stadium will become the national ice sports training base.

National indoor stadium

Located in Beijing Olympic Park, the National Stadium is one of the main venues of this Winter Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The venue can accommodate 18000 spectators, and ice hockey and figure skating competitions will be held.
