Anshun in Huayan Cave
The cave is dry and spacious. The Hall of the Great Hero and the Three Halls are open, and there is a locked door next to it. I wonder if there is a hole behind the temple. According to the Preface to the Reconstruction of Huayan Cave, which was carved on the 18th Luohan stone platform in the Hall of the Great Hero in the cave, the original name of Huayan Cave was Chongrenli. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the founder of the mountain, Gai Xiayuan, went into the cave to praise Hua Yan Jing for 49 days, feeling that the local people donated money to build a temple. The change of political power, coupled with inconvenient transportation, has limited sources of funds. The construction inside and outside the cave shall be presided over by the local competent department. There is no planning and official hall name in the temple, and the shaping of Buddha and Bodhisattva does not meet the requirements of the temple. Hua Yanzong was not handed down in the early Qing Dynasty. In the eighteenth year of Guangxu, local people donated money for maintenance. After 1949, it is planned to rebuild, and the Buddha statue will be shaped according to Zen and Dojo. It turned out that there were only eighteen arhats in the Hall of Ursa Major, and a new Buddha statue, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva were created. On the back of the main hall, statues of sea tide and sky were molded, and the West Third Temple, stone pillars and main hall plaque were newly built, which were completed in 1994 and 1985 respectively. 1998 subsidies have been gradually improved. The original Upper Temple was converted into Tianwang Temple, a new Tibetan Hall and a release pond were built in the depths of the cave, and the Guanyin Monument of Sanqiao was rebuilt. I think the locked door I saw was the entrance to the underground museum, the release pool and the treasure house.
Out of the hole, an old aunt took a broom and asked if she wanted to drink water. I thought she was going to pour me water. She thanked me and said no, then pointed to my kettle and said, "Go to the cave and get a pot of fairy water." I jumped up with joy and answered well. Back in the Hall of the Great Hero in the cave, there is a stone jar in front of the statue of Nine Arhats on the left, which is full of water dripping from the stone wall. It is refreshing to take a sip, only to remember that there is such a memory about Huayan Cave in Mr. Dai Mingxian's book "Anshun for One". " Tourists are in Huayang Cave in the south suburb of the city all year round. It is a tradition to visit this cave on Dragon Boat Festival. There are several large stone vats covered with green moss at the entrance of the cave, which store magma water for monks to eat for many years. Nobody cares at ordinary times, and it is sold on the Dragon Boat Festival.
Finally, I still haven't eaten in Huayan Cave. I want to go back to the city to find Anshun's delicious food. Amitabha, the vulgar heart is not exhausted, the wine and meat pass through the intestines, and the Buddha sits in his heart. Very kind.
