What is dance music?

Sometimes transliterated as "waltz", it originated from Austrian and German Laendler dance.

Laendler dance originated in Austria and Germany. It was used for ballroom dancing in the second half of the18th century, and became popular in western European countries in the19th century. It uses 3/4 beats, emphasizes the stress of the first beat, has smooth melody and obvious rhythm, and only uses one chord for each bar in the accompaniment. Dance is called waltz because it needs to be rotated in pairs.

Waltz is a foreign music genre in China. English is a waltz, so it is sometimes transliterated as "waltz", which generally originated in rural areas. Waltz was developed in cities, especially Vienna, with the development of society. Therefore, some waltzes are also called Viennese waltzes.
