The Four Sages of Confucianism:

The Four Sages of Confucianism refer to Confucius, Yan Hui, Zeng Zi, and Mencius. Confucianism arose in the Spring and Autumn Period, and gradually became the orthodox thought of Chinese feudal society. Many thinkers contributed to the emergence and development of Confucianism, and four of them were honored as "saints" by later generations. Among them, four were honored as "saints" by later generations. They are: the supreme saint Confucius, the restoration of the saint Yan Hui, the saint Zeng Zi, and the saint Mencius.
