What are the hidden dangers of food safety?

Food safety hazards includes:

1, excessive use of additives. There are out-of-range and excessive use of additives in food. Although these additives are harmless to human body, too many additives will also increase the burden on the body, because some additives need liver catabolism, which increases the burden on the liver.

2. Microbial pollution. Nowadays, many people like to eat raw food, such as seafood or undercooked steak, and even hot pot is undercooked, which causes microorganisms in food to enter the human body and endanger human health.

The quality of some foods is not up to the standard. This proportion accounts for about 17% of the total food. Although the proportion is not very high, it is still a hidden danger.

4. Heavy metal pollution. This pollution is likely to come from water quality. The process of industrialization and modernization leads to serious pollution of heavy metals in water sources, and foods made from this water naturally contain heavy metals. In addition, there is a small amount of heavy metal pollution in the production process.

5, pesticide residues exceed the standard. Excessive pesticides will directly lead to human poisoning, and some foods have excessive pesticides. If this situation is not contained, it will be endless;

6. Biological toxin pollution. This kind of pollution comes from various organisms themselves, although the proportion is very low, but it can not be ignored. This biotoxin can also cause some health problems.

The hazards of food safety hazards are as follows:

1, endangering public physical and mental health and the safety of life and property. The survival and development of human beings are inseparable from safe food. Unsafe food often causes acute, subacute or chronic damage to human tissues and organs, which is called food-borne disease academically. Some will have temporary physical discomfort, and some will lead to gene mutation, which will be life-threatening in severe cases. Because this kind of products are the necessities of the public, both the use space and the users have extensive characteristics, and once a safety accident occurs, it will be a mass incident;

2. Destroy social stability and harmony. Because food safety accidents are generally mass incidents, which affect all aspects of society and often lead to social instability. For example, the milk powder incident, which affected a wide range of victims, caused a security crisis in the whole society and caused tens of thousands of employees of Sanlu Group to lose their jobs. At present, many families in China have distrust of milk powder, some parents give up feeding milk powder to their children, and some even buy milk powder abroad;

3. Affect economic development. With the rapid development of the national economy, the food industry has become an important force to stimulate the economy. There are many food enterprises among the top 500 enterprises in China. For example, in recent years, after the melamine milk powder incident was exposed in 2008, it collapsed overnight. People feel sorry for the national brand national enterprises that have been carefully built for many years. The vast number of consumers have lost confidence in domestic dairy products, and the huge dairy product consumption market has been occupied by foreign brands, which has also affected China's food exports.

To sum up, food safety hazards is a biological hazard: bacteria, molds, viruses and parasites. Chemical hazards: heavy metals, natural toxins, pesticides, detergents. Physical hazards: broken bones, gravel, iron filings, sawdust, hair, cockroaches and other insect residues, broken glass and other visible foreign bodies.
