Zhangjiajie Yangxi is a local traditional drama in Yongding County, Zhangjiajie City. The specific time of the formation of Yang Opera is not recorded in ancient books. According to the memories of the old artists of Yangxi, there was a formed Yangxi about 200 years ago.

There are two versions of Yangxi's name. One is played by farmers and Yangchun people. Most of the artists are rural farmers and have been performing in rural areas for a long time, so they are called "Yangxi Opera".
