The documentary "Petrov's Spring Festival" is the first objective documentary about Chinese and Russian mixed-race children in China. This film tells the family history of five generations of Russian descendant Dong Desheng (Petrov) in a self-described way by recording the life of his family during the traditional Spring Festival in China. Through the historical changes of Petrov family, this film also reflects the space-time trajectory of the development of China and Russia, as well as the Han nationality and Russia in the past century. At present, the first generation of Sino-Russian hybrids is gone, and it is of great historical value to record the second and third generations of Sino-Russian hybrids alive for the future study of this special nation.
