What are the foreign boxing?
According to historical facts and general social understanding, Waijia Boxing is relative to Neijia Boxing at first, and the division between inside and outside is also the first clear division of schools in the history of China Wushu. The martial arts concepts of "external family" and "internal family" originated from Huang Zongxi's Epitaph of Wang Zhengnan: "Shaolin is famous for its martial arts, but it mainly fights with others, so people have to take advantage. If there is a so-called family, use static braking, and the offender should be a servant, so it is different from Shaolin as a family ... "However, modern Shaolin boxers and some martial arts researchers hold different views on this theory, thinking that Shaolin boxing is also a kind of boxing that is both internal and external. (2) After the Qing Dynasty, especially since the Republic of China, Tai Ji Chuan, Xingyiquan (Mind Method, Liuhe, Italian Boxing), Baguazhang, wudang boxing and other martial arts represented. It will be called Neijia Boxing, and other boxing types will be collectively called Waijia Boxing, such as Shaolin Boxing, Fanzi Boxing, Split Palm Boxing, Hong Boxing and Cai Lifo Boxing. It is based on this statement that the general distinction between internal work and external work is now based on this statement.
The earliest division of Wushu (China Kung Fu) is roughly the division of family boxing and foreign boxing. Now there are two kinds of Wushu routines and Wushu Sanda in society. The main purpose of Wushu routines is performance, and the movements pursue fancy and beauty. Sanda, on the other hand, pursues actual combat, which theoretically includes various offensive and defensive moves of various martial arts schools in China. However, due to the loss of some internal skills, many traditional offensive and defensive moves have lost their original fighting value and been abandoned, so Wushu Sanda is completely superficial. Some people say that the so-called Wushu Sanda is actually boxing and leg wrestling, which is no different from western fighting except wrestling, and has little to do with the real traditional China Kung Fu. Of course, now it is a society that pursues brands and pays attention to commercial effects. As long as China learns martial arts, or foreigners learn martial arts from China, they must call what they learn China Kung Fu, which seems understandable.
