Some people say that there are no ghosts in the world, but there are souls?
Traditional culture holds that man = body+soul. The body is the residence or carrier of the soul. When people die, the soul leaves the body, but the soul has to be reborn. There are 10 life forms, from low to high: hell, ghost, beast, man, Asura and heaven; Lohan, Jue Yuan, Bodhisattva, Buddha. Among them, the first six belong to the "three realms" and are recurrent. In other words, the soul in the three realms should be constantly reincarnated in the six realms, commonly known as the "six divisions in the karma wheel." Of the six ways, the first three are called "three evil ways". Once you fall into the three evils, it is very painful and difficult to get rid of. So there must be past lives and afterlife, but not necessarily higher aspirations, jumping out of the three realms, becoming a saint, and getting rid of the six divisions in the wheel of karma. Neither life nor death, but endless life. The purpose of monk practice is to jump out of the six divisions in the wheel of karma. Of course, family members can also jump out of the six divisions in the wheel of karma through practice. The highest and most perfect life form is becoming a Buddha. Ghosts and gods exist, and like our human society, they are one of the six sentient beings. But ghosts don't live in the same space as us humans, but in another space. Their living space is intertwined with human space. Destiny takes a hand can occasionally feel or see ghosts and gods.
