Uliger

The form of performance is divided into three categories: ① the whole prose style of the narrative, similar to the Han's commentary; ② singing-based rhyming style; ③ combination of rap, similar to the Han's rapping drum book form. These three types of forms have their own artistic characteristics. Mongolian storytelling is performed by one person, generally accompanied by alto sihu, prose narrative storytelling with musical instruments to set the mood and rhythm of the language, the other two forms are used to accompany the singing. One of the main form of singing is sometimes accompanied by the horse head qin. Mongolian storytelling is characterized by vivid language and image. Uligar, Mongolian means "speaking", is a Mongolian form of art, mainly in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the northeast provinces of China's Mongolian settlement. Consistent with the habits of the Mongolian people on the steppe, this art has a romantic and open atmosphere. Its original form was similar to the minstrels of the Middle Ages in the West, and the artists carried ukuleles or chaoer (horse-head zither), wandering in the steppe with the wind, wandering around, chasing after Mongolian yurts and princes and noblemen's mansions, one person with a zither, pulling themselves up and singing, and the wonderful raps and lengthy sagas have become one of the most popular forms of art on the steppe.

Uliger tells the content of the legends and stories and historical books, reflecting the Mongolian history of books such as "Gesar", "Jianggeer", "subdue Python Gus", "Green History", etc., while there are a large number of Mongolian translation of Chinese books. Such as "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Fengshen Yanyi" and other classical masterpieces.

Uligar artists known as "Hurqin", many of the old artists have a very rich language attainments, rapping skills, superb, vivid voice, by their performance of the storyline of the ups and downs, melody and rhythm of the rich changes, with a strong infectious force. At the same time, 83-year-old artist Baiyin Cangbu completed a long bibliography "Taoke Tahu", published and distributed by Jilin People's Publishing House and Inner Mongolia People's Publishing House in 1990, once again promoting the development of the art of ex-Guoer Luosi Uliger.

The Uligar of Qian Guo has its own unique tuning, structure and language. Uliger has a melody, tune fixed multiple tunes. The rappers are free to use them according to the needs of the storyline.
