Extended information:

There are two ways to inherit Tibetan Buddhism, namely, the ways of mentoring, such as Ningma School, Kagyu School and Kadang School. There are also family inheritance methods, such as the Sakya Sect, which basically adopts the family inheritance method based on the Kun family.

Ningma School:

The inheritance of Ningma School is mainly divided into two parts: classic inheritance and hidden inheritance. After the 14th century, the classic inheritance disappeared from historical records and was replaced by the hidden inheritance.

Sakya school:

Sakya school pays attention to the translation and debate of Confucian classics in the aspect of teaching. There are two inheritances in the aspect of showing Sect. One is to advocate only knowing and teaching Faxiangxue; One advocates that all laws are empty, and the middle view of preaching should become a theory. In esoteric religion, there are the Thirteen Golden Laws of Sakya (Thirteen Golden Laws that Don't Cross the Peripheral Area), and the Daoguo Law is the most unique teaching method.

Kagyu School:

Kagyu means teaching instructions or teaching transmission, with the succession of teachers and apprentices, oral communication, listening and understanding, and paying attention to secret methods rather than classics. According to legend, Marba, Milla Reba and others, the distant ancestors of this school, wore white robes when practicing dharma, so they were called "White Religion".

Gadang Sect:

Gadang Sect was originally the earliest Sect in Tibet. Gadang, which means the teachings or precepts of Buddhism, is to teach people to accept Buddhist truth in Buddhist language. Its founder is Zhong Dun Jia Wei Qiong Nai. In 145, Zhong Dun welcomed Adi Gorge, a monk from Ali, and worshipped him as his teacher.
