What are some ways to teach picture book reading?

With classroom reading clubs in full swing, picture books have become the main reading content for lower classroom reading clubs. Read Meiwei picture book reading is an important and indispensable part of the reading experience of the lower grades students, it is an insurmountable stage in the process leading to fluent, independent text reading, through the picture book reading is expected to stimulate the interest of the lower grades students in extracurricular reading.

This semester, teachers read a vivid and interesting picture book with children***. After careful review, it is slightly rewarding. In Readmei Hui picture book reading teaching, I mainly take the following kinds:

A, theme-guided

Each picture book has a distinctive theme, and this theme is spread throughout the picture. If the theme to guide the students to look carefully at the picture, the human nature of the picture book will be "with the wind into the night" as deep as the people's hearts. By using the theme as a clue to guide reading, the scattered pearls in the pictures can be strung together to let the theme shine through! At the same time, students will be guided by the theme to experience the endless fun of "discovery". Because the theme of the ReadMeWise picture books is presented in interesting images. To lead a child to discover such images is, of course, to lead a child to discover the paradise of happiness.

The richly illustrated picture books attract children. The value and charm of a ReadMeWise picture book lies in the fact that it does not contain a single word of dogma, but it can satisfy the child's need for growth; it does not contain a single word of reasoning, but it can inspire the child's in-depth thinking; and it does not contain a single word of noise, but it can provoke the child's heartfelt laughter. By guiding children to read picture books through themes, children are constantly engaged in an emotional experience, and by virtue of reading, emotions are heightened and sublimated. In the child's world, in the easy and pleasant reading, buried in the good emotions that affect the whole life.

Two, the performance of extended

This way is the most popular with children, in line with their active age characteristics. The interest of the picture book is also in the performance of the children in the full body with the feeling. If the book is suitable for performance, let the children act it out, it will be more exciting.

Books are a reflection of life. In the reading of the book, you can feel the life, and in turn, you can interpret the text in the life, and extend the text to the real life. Let the lower students in the performance in the extension of the text, is a proven way to expand. When the students read the first half of the time, arranged for students and teachers to perform together: with the life performance to push the momentum and pave the way to build bridges, and then ask the students to contact the actual life to say with the sentence, the children are able to say with great interest on the adults and their own can do between the things, and the difference between the two. Classroom life has been quietly into the text reading.

Three, reading and writing combined

This guidance is proposed because of the qualities of children's picture books -

In content: picture-based, text-based, or even no text at all, all picture books.

The pictures in a picture story book, should have the conditions:

1. distinctive visual like: children love distinctive colors and images, for the abstract, chaotic, and because of the inability to understand and not interested.

2. Imagination fused in the painting: the painting should be in line with the child's psychological imagination, the richer the imagination the more popular.

3. Variation of lines and composition of shapes should have a clear correlation: because children's senses are keen.

4. Symbolic and typical forms: Children love pictures that are symbolic and typical.

5. Poetic strokes: beautiful, as in the sense of leading you to the world of poetry, elegance.

6. Bright and gorgeous colors: colors that appear lively and energetic.

The text in a picture storybook should have the following conditions:

1. It must be storytelling, and it is a story that can be understood with the age of young children.

2. The text in a picture storybook must have a natural, wonderful rhythm.

3. The text of these narratives can be considered to be read to the child by an adult first, and gradually lead to being read by the child himself/herself.

4. They should be consistent with the young child's life experience and help the child to expand his or her comprehension, imagination, and thinking.

The qualities of reading Meihui's picture books provide rich material for students' writing. Relying on picture book reading to cultivate students' ability to write words is still student-oriented, with the prerequisite of not sacrificing students' interests or increasing their burden, and encouraging students to create on the premise of interest, with unlimited requirements. I am guiding the process of writing, the main methods taken are:

1, seize the text features imitation creation.

The text of Readmei Hui's picture books is concise and characteristic, often arranging repetitive cycles of regular sentences.

2. Describe the story with the help of illustrations.

Based on the pictures, combined with concise language, the story is re-described through your own words, just like reading a book and telling the story down. Whether the child's descriptions are fluent or not, we are fulfilling one of the roles of reading picture books - to develop the child's ability to express himself.

3. Focus on the theme and look at the pictures to write.

Looking at pictures and writing words is a common means of cultivating the expression ability of students in the lower grades. How can we not give full play to the charm of the picture book drawings that are so popular among students? The students' love of picture books is the emotional basis for their willingness to express themselves. How to guide the picture writing? The sky is the limit, arbitrary expression is not a strategy. However, if around the theme, let the students look at the picture, the pen expression, should have a "clear center, the theme is prominent" effect.

Picture books, foreign language, that is, picture books, the word taken from the Japanese picture book called "えほん" written in Chinese characters "_本", as the name implies, is "drawn book", refers to a class of paintings based on a small amount of text attached to the book. Picture books are not only for storytelling and learning, but also for helping children to build their spiritual world and develop multiple intelligences. Picture books are the first choice of children's books for families in developed countries, and it is internationally recognized that "picture books are the most suitable books for young children".

All human civilizations have a tradition of pictorial narratives, and the written word has its origins in pictures, as does the Chinese nation. From archaeological discoveries, China's Yangtze and Yellow River basins contain drawings left by our ancestors: rock paintings, pottery drawings, murals, and so on, which can be regarded as the earliest records of pictorial narratives of events in China. On the whole, although these illustrations have the initial ability to tell stories, they lack a very important element: they do not tell stories from children's point of view; they are not works "for children". They are not works "for children". And the child as an individual must have been discovered only after the May Fourth Movement... [1]? [1]?

Development

Picture books were born in Europe in the seventeenth century, and in the 1930s, the main stream of picture books spread to the United States, and picture books ushered in a golden age. In the fifties and sixties, picture books began to rise in South Korea and Japan, and in the seventies, Taiwan also began to read picture books, which subsequently caused a boom in picture book reading. Picture books not only tell stories and learn knowledge, but also can comprehensively help children construct their spirit and cultivate multiple intelligences. In the twenty-first century, picture book reading has become the fashion of children's reading all over the world.

Difference

Some people use the term "picture book" to distinguish some of the picture books, they are mostly drawn by independent authors, with a clear personal style, the picture itself is the main focus of the picture book. We often see books with pictures and text, but although the pictures in these books are very interesting, they are only a supplement to the text, a kind of picture that functions as a text system. These books are mostly found in textbooks and teaching aids. The pictures in the book do not have the function of "picture language". Picture books and our traditional comic strips and comics, the latter is like a traditional stage play, the reader can only be in a certain angle with a full view to see, will produce a great sense of distance. Low-childhood picture books, however, is like a movie for young children to see, it shows a broad vision, but also details of the close-ups, both extremely interesting storyline, but also hidden the rhythm of the design of the start, take off, turn, and close. Some cartoon-based books for young children are also different from picture books. These books are beautifully drawn, the picture is a cartoon of the activities of the solidification of the form of the loss of the charm of the activities, the picture plot has been "dismembered" difficult to express the original content of the book is just a picture to cause the cartoon plot memories of the symbols." The text is simple: "The wolf entered the lamb's house?" The text is simple: "The wolf entered the lamb's house?". A full page later shows the wolf opening the door and all the lambs panicking, some hiding in the bell, some under the bed, some behind the door, and some behind the sofa? This image greatly aroused the interest of young readers.
