How to make zongzi?

The practice of Dahuangmi Zongzi is as follows:

Tools/materials: rice, red dates, zongye, bowls, cotton thread, clean water, chopsticks, spoons and pots.

1. First pour rice into a bowl, add rice-free water, soak for more than 8 hours, then take it out and drain it.

2. Prepare some red dates, wash the leaves in advance and blanch them in a pot for about 3-5 minutes.

3. Take a leaf of Zongzi, fold it into a corner, first add 1 tablespoon of rhubarb rice, poke it with chopsticks to make it tighter, and then add red dates.

4. Fill it with rhubarb rice and compact it.

5. Finally, fold back the two sides, seal the remaining leaves and tie them tightly with cotton thread, and a big yellow zongzi will be made.
