Brief introduction of plug flow reactor

The plug-flow reactor is also called plug flow or tubular reactor. A reactor for chemical reaction in the form of plug flow. Particles of liquid material passing through the reactor in the reactor are discharged in the same order as when they enter. The arrangement order of particles in the reactor remains unchanged, and its residence time is equal to the theoretical residence time. The form of liquid flow is similar to that in a long pool with large aspect ratio, which reduces or eliminates longitudinal dispersion. It is the most common form in the process of water treatment (such as the traditional activated sludge plug aeration tank for biological treatment of water).
