What's the name of Vietnamese women's dress?

Vietnamese women's clothes are called robes and shawls.

Robe is a traditional holiday costume for women in Vietnamese towns. Collar upright, long sleeves, clothes knee-length. The right shoulder extends to the right armpit until the waist is stitched and fixed, and both sides are stitched from below the waist. Silk and satin fabrics are brightly colored, much like women's cheongsam in China. Wear white wide silk trousers, or long hair shawl, or pointed Vietnamese hat and wooden or plastic slippers.

Long shawl is a traditional dress for rural women in northern Vietnam. This shirt has no collar, long sleeves and is knee-length. The sides below the waist are slit, facing the chest, and there are no buttons at the opening. Because the chest is open, the two sides below the waist are split, and two narrow strips are formed below the front abdomen. Two narrow strips of cloth are knotted in front of the abdomen, and then both ends hang down long. The color of shawls is mostly brown or black. When wearing it, it is often covered with a cloth cover, and sometimes a headscarf is covered outside the cloth cover. The color of the scarf is the same as that of the shawl.

Characteristics of Vietnamese clothing

1, Yue nationality (Jing nationality)

Among the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, the Jing ethnic group is the largest one, with many long-standing cultures, especially costumes. The traditional Aobao is the national costume of Jing nationality, which represents the soul and culture of Vietnam.

2. Khmer people

Khmer women's dresses are very eye-catching because of their exquisite colors, exquisite patterns and countless shiny beads. For Khmer women, no matter how difficult their family circumstances are, they should sew the most beautiful traditional clothes for themselves and their families to wear on major festivals. This is also a way for every Khmer family to maintain and inherit national culture.
