Illustration of black-and-white film development process: winding articles

Equipment to be prepared for developing black and white film:

1, dark bag or darkroom

2. Stainless steel developing tank and film core

3. Plastic film developing tank and film core

4. Film box screwdriver

5, stainless steel clips

6, scissors

7. Thermometer

8. Remember that clock?

9. Liquid medicine container: storage tank and measuring cup (including prepared developer, stop developer, fixer, hypo cleaning solution, etc.). ).

1. Prepare films, developing tanks, film cores, scissors, screwdrivers and other appliances in dark bags or darkrooms, and know your position in complete darkness.

2. In a completely dark environment (dark bag or darkroom), open the film cover with a screwdriver and carefully take out the film. If the film is finished and there is a title outside the box, you can go directly to the next step.

3. In order to put the film into the film core of the developing tank neatly, the film head should be trimmed before.

4. If the plastic film core is used, it is best to round the film head so that the film can enter the film core smoothly.

5. In a completely dark environment, press the spring clip in the middle of the stainless steel membrane core with one hand, and insert the membrane head into the center of the membrane core with the other hand to make it firmly clamped in the spring clip.

6. Gently pinch the edge of the film with your fingers, so that the film is slightly arched, and rotate the film core, so that the film can be smoothly loaded into the film core. Be careful not to touch the photosensitive surface of the film at this time.

7. After all the films involve the film core, cut them carefully with scissors.

8. Put the film core into the developing tank, and tighten the cover to finish the winding. At this time, the developing tank can be placed in a bright room for the next developing step.

Description: Use plastic developing tank and film core.

1. First insert the film head into a point on the film core (which can be operated in a bright room), then in a completely dark environment (dark bag or dark room), hold both sides of the film core with both hands and rotate back and forth along the axis of the film core, and the film will smoothly enter the film core slot.

Tip: When using plastic film core, it should be determined whether the film core is dry before winding, and a small amount of water droplets left on the film core is enough to hinder the film filling process.

2. Put the film core into the developing tank and tighten the cover. At this time, the developing tank can be placed in a bright room for the next developing step. Flow chart of black and white film development (2): development part

1. Prepare the working fluid according to the drug instructions and the capacity of the expansion tank. Before developing, measure it with a thermometer to ensure the temperature of the liquid medicine.

Tip: Please refer to the developer or film manual for the temperature setting and development time of the liquid medicine.

2. If the temperature is appropriate, quickly pour the developer into the developing tank and tighten the lid.

3. Tap the bottom of the developing tank several times quickly to drive out bubbles, so as to avoid bubbles adhering to the film surface and causing uneven development.

4. At this point, the development work begins. At the beginning of recording, the development time recommended by the manufacturer shall prevail. Stir continuously for the first 30 seconds of development. Generally, the agitation is carried out by wrist handstand, and the speed is controlled at about 1 sec 1 time. Note that after 30 seconds, the stirring is generally changed to 1-2 times every 30 seconds until the development is completed.

Tip: The stirring mode varies with the developing tank and operation method. The difference of stirring mode and speed will affect the final development result. The above mixing methods are for reference only.

5. After the development, pour out the developer and quickly pour in the developer. The time is recommended by the manufacturer, usually 30-60 seconds.

6. After the monitor stops, quickly pour out the monitor stop solution and pour in the fixing solution. The fixing method and developing method are basically the same, and the time can be recommended by the manufacturer. Pay attention to avoid using quick fixing solution for too long.

7. After fixing, pour out the fixing solution for preliminary cleaning. Running water, about 2 minutes, pay attention to the difference between water temperature and liquid temperature should not be greater than 5 degrees.

Tip: Handle fixing solution correctly. Fixing solution will cause environmental pollution, so don't directly discharge it into the sewer.

8. After the initial washing, in order to improve the washing efficiency, washing promotion treatment can be carried out. Soak the film in the hypo cleaning solution and stir for 2-5 minutes.

9. Finally, rinse with water, running water 10 minute. Note that the difference between water temperature and liquid temperature should not be greater than 5 degrees. In the drawing, a special water washer (internal circulation) is used for water washing, which needs to be cleaned by changing water several times.

10. After the final washing, clamp and hang the negative, and wipe off the residual water on the negative with a negative scraper or sponge. You can also soak the film in the wetting agent for 30 seconds and then hang it.

1 1. Try to dry the film in a clean room with proper humidity. Put a slightly heavier object on the negative and let it dry naturally.

12. When the film is dried, cut it with scissors and store it in sections.

13. Put the cut film into the prepared film bag (acid-free film bag is the best choice for long-term preservation).

14. Put the negative in the box and record the index for future use.
