Is traditional fishing divided into main line and secondary line, single hook and double hook?

If traditional fishing is a single hook, it doesn't need a figure-eight ring or a secondary line. Drop, hook and drift are all on the same main line, and the soft hook falls 4-5 cm above the hook.
