Although Gannan Tibetan opera is characterized by its ability to sing and dance, song and dance performances are often closely related to the development of the plot. This is because, while inheriting and carrying forward the essence of Labrang's songs and dances, Gannan Tibetan Opera attaches great importance to applying these dances naturally and skillfully to the characters with different personalities in the play, making the characters more vivid. One of the most distinctive features is "step by step", that is, the arms and feet on the same side move in the same direction at the same time, which is widely used in footwork performances of ministers, honor guards and other roles in various dramas. It is slow and graceful, commonly known as "King Kong crows proudly". It is said that this kind of action is to imitate the crow flying in the air, with its wings up and its chest hitting forward, which is completely different from other birds' flying methods. This is a kind of deformation action formed by the combination of stepping in folk songs and dances and "Habemu" in temple fairs. In the scene design, circles and semicircles in the song and dance queue are generally used, while group dances directly put folk songs and dances on the stage, such as Seyouhebeilong, Mulaga Thousand Trees, Jarrick, Jia Mu Gong Si Xie and Tashi. Female dance basically maintains the emotional characteristics of folk songs and dances, with small movement range, slow rhythm, elegance and softness, and delicate lyricism. Children dance jumps big, has a neat rhythm, is cheerful and bright, and is unrestrained. These dance movements always run through the characteristics of Labrang's singing and dancing with the same arms and feet.
