Development planning of Wuhan New Port

Based on the construction of 26 port areas, Wuhan New Port plans to build 2 container port areas, 1 new port business district, 5 new port-facing cities and 12 port-facing industrial parks. The goal is to build Wuhan New Port into a modern port, an international port and a hub port integrating modern shipping logistics, comprehensive bonded services and port-facing industry development, and realize "a 100-million-ton port with10 million TEUs". The cargo throughput reached 350 million tons. After its completion, Wuhan Xingang is the second largest inland waterway shipping port in China after Nanjing.

By 20 15, the cargo throughput of Wuhan Xingang will exceed 200 million tons, and the container throughput will exceed 2 million TEUs, making it a shipping center in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

Compared with the development of railways, highways and aviation, the Yangtze River waterway has not received enough attention and good utilization. In today's energy shortage and soaring oil prices, the transportation advantages of golden waterway with low energy consumption, low land occupation, low cost and large capacity are prominent. The construction of Wuhan New Port embodies the strategic vision of decision makers.

The waterway below Nanjing can be reached directly by ships of 30,000-50,000 tons. But on the route from Wuhan to Nanjing, usually only 5000-ton ships can sail. After the completion of Wuhan New Port, it can not only open international ocean routes to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions, but also connect with Yangshan Port, which is located in the international golden shipping belt, and become the water gateway to the world in central China and the largest international port in China. Zhao Lingyun predicted that Wuhan would become a seaport city along the Yangtze River and an inland coastal city.

Xingang project started for the second time.

The sonorous footsteps in the construction of Wuhan New Port are clearly audible.

The reporter learned that the dock of WISCO Jiangbei Base has started construction ahead of schedule. The 800,000-ton ethylene supporting terminal, Huashan New City, Huanggang Yujie Logistics Integrated Terminal and Ezhou Hongtai Iron and Steel Integrated Terminal started construction one after another.

The preparatory leading group for the planning and construction of Wuhan New Port has confirmed that the total investment of Wuhan New Port 16 project, including the above-mentioned projects, is expected to exceed10 billion yuan, which will be started one after another this year and completed in 20 15 at the latest.

Xingang business district

Build a business district with the functions of corporate headquarters, shipping services, commercial trade, corporate consulting, commercial insurance, crew clubs, tourism and leisure, real estate development, etc., and form a comprehensive service center of Wuhan Xingang and the most important port-facing business district in the central region.

Two major container ports

Including Yangluo and Baihushan port areas.

The mode of "container port+comprehensive bonded zone+port-facing industrial park" is adopted to coordinate the development of the district and port.

Yangluo Port Area: Yangluo Port is the only natural deep-water port in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. After the completion of the second phase of the project, it mainly transports containers, steel and groceries, mainly serving northern Hubei, southern Henan, Ankang, Shaanxi and other regions. It can sail 5000-ton ships all the year round, with an annual throughput of 1 TEU. Without transshipment, the goods can go directly to Japan, Southeast Asia and other offshore countries and regions, which is the largest in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River.

Baihushan Port Area: It mainly transports containers, chemical raw materials and products, and mainly serves northern and southern Hubei.

Five Lingang New Cities

Including Yangluo Lingang New City, Huashan-Beihu Lingang New City, Gehua Lingang New City, Huangzhou Lingang New City and Xianjia Lingang New City.

Yangluo Lingang New City: a modern Lingang industrial new city with comprehensive logistics, steel and deep processing, grain logistics and coal transit transportation as leading industries will be formed.

Huashan-Beihu Lingang New Town: To form Beihu Chemical New Town with ethylene and downstream products, salt chemical industry, fine chemical industry and comprehensive logistics facilities as the leading industries, develop a scientific and technological ecological new town, and cultivate ecological industries such as scientific and technological services, leisure and holiday, and tourism services.

Gehua Lingang New City: a modern industrial base with electronic information, automobile electronics, biomedicine and fine chemicals as leading industries, and an important scientific and technological ecological new city.

Huangzhou Lingang New Town: a modern Lingang industrial new town with port logistics, steel deep processing, auto parts, new materials and new packaging, light industry textiles and agricultural products processing as leading industries will be formed.

Xianjia Lingang New City: a modern Lingang industrial new city with port logistics, textile and clothing, forestry, electromechanical manufacturing and biomedicine as leading industries will be formed.

City industrial park

Relying on the port coastline, we will build 12 port industrial parks such as Chibi, Panjiawan, Shamao, Jinkou, Junshan, Hankou North, Baihushan, Gulong, Tuanfeng, Sanjiang, Zhangjiawan and Zhang Wu-Yang Ye.

Top ten industries

According to the idea of "paying equal attention to light and heavy industries, giving priority to ports, developing step by step and by leaps and bounds", we will focus on developing ten major industries such as modern logistics, steel and deep processing, building materials, petrochemicals, automobiles, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, food processing, business services and modern service industries.
