Quyi Quzhong Drum

A category of Quyi. Also known as drum book, drum book. It is generally believed that it was formed in the rural areas of Shandong and Hebei in the early Qing Dynasty. When it comes to drums, they are called "drum characters" or evolved from them. Mainly popular in the northern provinces and cities of China, and also in some areas of the Yangtze River Basin and the Pearl River Basin. There are dozens of tunes such as Jingyun Drum, Xihe Drum, Meihua Drum, Laoting Drum, JD.COM Drum, Northeast Drum, Shandong Drum, Jiaodong Drum, Anhui Drum, Shangdang Drum, Hubei Drum and Guangxi Drum. All kinds of drums are mostly played by one person, with three stringed instruments, and some only use drums and boards. Most of them take the form of standing singing. The lyrics are basically seven sentences and cross sentences. Most of the early songs were medium and long, talking and singing; More emphasis on short stories, just singing and not talking. Traditional songs are often linked with each other and have a wide range of themes, mostly historical war stories and love stories between men and women.
