What is the origin of civilized etiquette?

In the West, the word "etiquette" is derived from the French word "Etiguette", which originally means "pass in court". Later, the word "Etiguette" came into English and evolved into the meaning of "etiquette", which became the rules and guidelines that people should follow in their interactions.　There is also another view that etiquette originated from customs and habits.
