How is the development of stupa in China?
The stupa in China was greatly influenced by India and Gandhara in the early days, and later developed its own form in the long-term practice. It can be roughly divided into Mahayana Buddhism stupa, dense eaves stupa, single-storey stupa, Lama stupa and King Kong throne stupa, and Hinayana Buddhism stupa. Pavilion tower is a multi-storey wooden structure that imitates the tradition of China. It is the earliest and largest, and it is the mainstream of China Tower. The representative pavilion tower is Yingzhou Tower in Yingxian County, Shanxi Province, which was built about 1506 and is the only existing wooden tower in China. The double stone pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou, Fujian were originally wooden structures, which were built in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, and were all changed to stone buildings in the Southern Song Dynasty. Plane octagonal, five stories high, the tower body is all made of big stones, accurately imitating wooden components, with a relatively thick proportion, which is very spectacular.
