How to take the Wushu Duan rank?
Assessment Methods
(1) Wudu Appraisal: Appraisal of Wudu performance during the wu rite operation and training course of those who take the Duan rank.
(2) Examination content:
Theory assessment
(1) Beginner's rank: wu rite operation.
(2) Intermediate rank: basic concepts of wudu, operation of wu rites, basic theories of wushu;
(3) Higher rank: basic concepts of wudu, operation of wu rites, basic theories of wushu; 10-minute speech and 5-minute defense on 1 topic of wushu academics.
(4) Anyone who independently completes or takes the lead in writing an academic paper on wushu that is selected for the international and national wushu scientific research paper presentations sponsored by the Chinese Wushu Association or the Wushu Branch of the Chinese Association of Sports Science will be qualified to pass the theoretical assessment in the last two years of the Duan rank assessment (exempted from the theoretical assessment for the Duan rank assessment of wushu). (Theoretical assessment will be exempted when participating in Wushu Duan rank assessment).
Technical Assessment
Elementary Duan:
(1) Anyone who has been practicing wushu for more than two years and has passed the technical assessment of the Duan qualification will be qualified to enter the Duan.
(2) Anyone who has acquired the qualification for entry into the Duan for more than 1 year, and in the assessment, has practiced a set of basic techniques of boxing or sparring for a period of time, and has passed the results, may apply for promotion to the Duan level.
(3) Anyone who has been qualified for the first dan for more than one year, and has passed the assessment of the second dan in practicing a set of boxing skills or a combination of attack and defense techniques, may apply for promotion to the second dan.
(4) Anyone who has been awarded the second dan for more than one year, and in the assessment, has practiced a set of boxing skills of the third dan, a set of equipment (of any length), or has passed in the assessment of the combat techniques of the loose hand, may apply for promotion to the third dan.
Middle rank:
(1) Anyone who has been awarded the third rank for more than 2 years and has practiced a set of boxing skills and a set of instruments of the fourth rank in the assessment, or has passed the practical examination of the fourth rank of Sanshou, may apply for promotion to the fourth rank.
(2) Anyone who has been awarded the fourth dan for more than two years and, in the assessment, has practiced a set of boxing skills and a set of equipment of the fifth dan, or has passed the practical examination of the fifth dan for promotion to the fifth dan of the Sanshou, may apply for the fifth dan.
(3) Anyone who has been awarded 5th dan for more than 2 years, and in the assessment, has practiced a set of boxing skills and a set of equipment of 6th dan, or has passed the practical examination of 6th dan for promotion to 6th dan in Sanshou, may apply for 6th dan.

Competition Venues
I. The competition venues for the individual events and sparring events shall be 14 meters in length and 8 meters in width, and shall be surrounded by a 5-centimeters wide white border line, with the length and width of the venues counted from the outer edges of the border line. There shall be a safety zone of at least 2 meters wide around the field.
Second, the competition venue for collective events is 16 meters long and 14 meters wide, the venue should be marked with a 5-centimeter wide white border around the inner edge, the length and width of the venue are calculated from the outer edge of the border. There shall be a safety zone of at least 1 meter wide around the field.
Three, the height of the ground space of the competition venue is not less than 8 meters; the distance between the two venues is more than 4 meters; the venue lighting vertical illuminance and horizontal illuminance should be within the prescribed range.
Four, the competition site should be obvious site number sign; site should be set around the arbitration video and electronic display screen position; site side of the set referee seats; all equipment should be maintained and site sideline more than 2 meters away.
V. 2-4 athletes shall be set up at the back of the referee's seat at the right side of the athletes' field.
Scoring Criteria
1. The scoring criteria for comprehensive assessment of technical drills
are divided into 3 grades and 9 levels, of which: 8.50-10.00 is excellent; 7.00-8.49 is good; and 5.00-6.99 is fair. (See Table 1 for details)
2. General Requirements for Grading
(1) Standardized movements, correct methods and outstanding style. Athletes should show the technical and stylistic characteristics of the sport and program they are practicing, and should include the main content and techniques of the program.
(2) The strength is smooth, the point of force is accurate, and the movements are coordinated. Through the athlete's body and equipment should show the strength of the project, method characteristics, hand, eye, body, method, step with the coordination of equipment projects also need to be coordinated with the body and equipment;
(3) the rhythm is appropriate, the spirit of concentration, technology . It should show the rhythmic characteristics of the program;
(4) strict structure, reasonable arrangement, and full of content. The whole set of movements should be consistent with the technical style of the program and be traditional.
(5) Wushu Kung Fu program should be standardized, loose, quiet and natural; standardized movements, rounded and coherent, smooth breathing; concentration of ideas, outstanding style; coherent and rounded, speed matters, natural demeanor,, smooth breathing, and the integration of exercises and program characteristics.
(6) The sparring program should be full of content, compact structure, realistic movements, outstanding style, close cooperation, reasonable attack and defense.
(7) The collective project must also be neatly formed, should be the main technical content of the project, highlighting the style of the project, features, with tacit understanding, neat and tidy movements, appropriate structure, layout, and rich in a certain pattern of change.
(8) The movement of the soundtrack item is in harmony with the music, and the style of the music should be consistent with the technical style of the item, or the music is suddenly interrupted at the end of the movement and lacks integrity.
