The most advanced beehive for Chinese beekeeping

The most advanced beehive for beekeeping is the live-frame hive.

The live-frame hive is a kind of beehive hive with reasonable bee path structure and movable hive frames, the advantage is that it is easy for beekeepers to manage the bee colony, for example, when cutting honey, traditional hives tend to injure the bees seriously, while live-frame hives have almost no harm to the bee colony, so large-scale bee farms are using advanced and scientific live-frame hives.

The bee path is the main basis for the design of the live-frame hive, which refers to the gap between the hive frame and the hive frame, and between the hive frame and other parts of the hive, and it mainly serves for the passage of the bees and air circulation. For example, Italian bees require that the distance between the hive frame and the hive frame should be 8 millimeters, and the distance between the hive frame and the wall of the hive on both sides of the hive frame should be 8 millimeters, the distance between the hive sub-cap and the top beam of the hive frame should be 6 millimeters, and the distance between the lower beam of the hive frame and the bottom of the hive should be 25 millimeters. The body size is slightly smaller than that of the Italian bee, and the bee path is slightly smaller than that of the Italian bee.

Composition

1, hive box: the hive box is the main body of the hive, the size varies according to the type of hive, for example, the standard hive for Chinese bees has an inner length of 440 millimeters, a width of 370 millimeters, a height of 270 millimeters, and a thickness of 20 millimeters of the board.

2. Sub-cover: The sub-cover is mostly used in combination with the covering cloth, and the covering cloth is on top of the sub-cover when it is in use, in which the sub-cover can control the bee path and adjust the ventilation, while the covering cloth can control the heat preservation and dissipation in the beehive.

3, box cover: the side of the box cover has a vent and has a waterproof and sunscreen process, when using the sub-cover on the hive box, then cover the cloth on the sub-cover, and finally the box cover on the cloth.

4. Hive frames: the main function of hive frames is to fix the hive foundation. In beekeeping production, the hive frames must be able to be matched with the hives, and the frames in the same apiary must be of uniform size.

5. Hive door: The hive door is a passageway for bees to enter and exit the hive. It is located at the front wall of the hive or at the lower edge of the front and rear walls respectively, and is equipped with a hive door stopper on the outside to restrict bees from entering and exiting the hive.
