"Rake your ears" means being afraid of your wife in Sichuan dialect, which is a unique vocabulary in southwest China. Its prototype is a bicycle from Chengdu, which was invented by a man in Chengdu to make his wife sit more comfortably. There are two reasons for the prevalence of rake ears in Sichuan.
