Extended data

Mr. Jin Yong's novels have undergone two revisions, and there are three versions in total.

From the publication of Duke of Lushan in Ming Pao in 1955 to 1972, Jin Yong's novels, whether serialized in newspapers or the first edition of books, are collectively called "old editions" among readers, which are the most original editions.

Later, Jin Yong spent ten years seriously revising the old novels. Later, the editions of Yuan Jing and Liu Yuan Publishing Company were revised as "new editions" (including Yuan Jing's white edition, Liu Yuan's yellow edition and Liu Yuan's leather edition). When some readers mentioned Jin Yong's old novels, they all thought they were Yuan Jing versions. In fact, the Yuan Jing version is the same as the Liu Yuan version.

Interestingly, when Jin Yong changed the "new edition" to "new edition", almost all the objections raised by readers criticized Jin Yong for "changing his memory"; In retrospect, when the "old edition" was revised into the "new edition", Ni Kuang and other readers of the old edition also put forward opinions similar to those of Jin Yong. After seven years of revision project, the newly revised Jin Yong's novels were finally published in July 2006. Interested readers can look at the three versions of Jin Yong's martial arts novels.
