Yuan Heng Niumajing is listed in the rare historical sites.

Yuan Heng's Treatise on Horses was written by Yu Jie and Yu Ren in Ming Dynasty, and has been called "The Classic of Cattle and Horses" since Qing Dynasty. It is the most widely circulated and cherished China veterinary classic at home and abroad. Since it came out, it has attracted great attention, covering the whole country and even Japan, North Korea, Germany and other countries, and many versions have appeared, which has promoted the development of animal husbandry medicine in China and even the world.

The original name of Yuan Heng Therapeutic Horse Collection is Therapeutic Horse Collection, followed by Therapeutic Cattle Collection and Camel Sutra, which are called Yuan Heng Therapeutic Horse Collection or Yuan Heng Complete Horse Sutra. Yuan Heng Healing Horse Collection is divided into four volumes: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Yuan Heng's Collection of Treatments for Horses, Cattles and Camels consists of six volumes of Horse Classic, two volumes of Cattle Classic and three volumes of Camel Classic. Although this collection has been worn out over time, its influence is enormous; Soon, Guo Huaiyou, a famous veterinarian in Lu 'an, made a comprehensive adaptation and interpretation of Yuan Heng's horse treatment method.

Yuan Heng's horse collection is a symbol of the maturity of traditional veterinary medicine in China. Chinese veterinary medicine and Chinese medicine are developing together. Zhou Li equates food doctors, disease doctors, choice doctors and veterinarians. Traditional Chinese medicine had a rigorous theoretical system and a set of diagnosis and treatment methods in the Han Dynasty, but the veterinarians in China were in a state of disorder until "Yuan Heng ruled the horse" formed its own relatively independent system. Yuan Heng's Zhi Ma Ji is complete in theory, methods and prescriptions, which not only lays the foundation of veterinary medicine in China, but also embodies the highest level of veterinary medicine development in China.
