"Innovation is not a denial of tradition". I am arguing. I want to argue! ! Kneel down! !

There is no rootless wood, no passive water. Only when there is foundation can there be architecture, and only when there is tradition can there be innovation. Human history is a history of innovation as well as a history of tradition. Newton, a famous scientist, made countless innovations in his life. He once famously said, "I am standing on the shoulders of giants." Become the motto of countless students.

Throughout history, we can find that no matter what innovation, it needs to be developed on the basis of fully mastering existing knowledge. Otherwise, it's just a fantasy, behind closed doors. If skyscrapers want to be built higher, they need deeper foundations. A writer, who wants to write newer and better works, must get in touch with society and enter life. A mathematician can't create a new mathematical theory if he can't even calculate basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Take China's four great inventions as an example. In the era of invention, they are all far-reaching innovations. Cai Lun papermaking, initially found that the by-products of textile have thin and tough films, which can be used for writing. After research and innovation, paper is made of bark, hemp head, rags and fishing nets through basic operations such as cutting, cooking, pulping, suspension, papermaking, setting and drying. In the first year of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Cai Lun played the emperor and the emperor praised his talents. From then on, he used the paper he made, so the world called it "Cai Hou Paper". A.D. 105, that is, the year when he presented paper to Han and Emperor, is considered as the birth year of paper.

Obviously, if there is no traditional textile technology, no cutting tools, no boiling pot, no drying rack, etc. How can there be paper? If there is no long-standing tradition of writing bamboo slips and silk books, even if you see the prototype paper, you will never think of writing with it, let alone developing innovative papermaking.

Regardless of tradition, forced innovation will lead to disastrous consequences. Decades ago, China's "Great Leap Forward" and "Satellite Release" were popular. Despite thousands of years of traditional agricultural experience, farmers were required to grow new crops in new ways. Farmers objected, saying, "The old man lived to be over 80 years old and never saw eggplant trees." In the end, the effect was very poor and ended in a hurry. Seeing the high yield of rice, we broke the tradition of North China and Northeast China, engaged in paddy fields, planted rice, and "planted water". As a result, a large number of farmland particles are not harvested, and a large amount of labor is wasted, with serious consequences.

In short, innovation should be based on tradition, respect tradition, learn tradition, study tradition, and affirm what is reasonable in tradition, so as to innovate better.

Innovation is not a denial of tradition.

That's all. Thank you.
