What are the most important parameters for choosing a projector?

The most important parameters for selecting a projector are as follows:

1, lightness (brightness):

Lumen is the main technical index of projector, which is usually expressed by luminous flux. Luminous flux is the ability to describe the intensity of visual response produced by light source radiation in unit time, and the unit is lumen, also called brightness. The unit of projector luminous flux is ANSI lumens, which is the standard for measuring projector luminous flux formulated by American National Standardization Association. It measures the illuminance of each point at the nine intersections of the screen "sky", multiplies it by the area, and then finds the average of the nine points, which is the ANSI lumen of the projector.

The higher the lumen value, the brighter it is. The higher the brightness, the less need to turn off the lights when projecting. ANSI stands for American National Standards Institute.

2. Resolution: The choice of projection resolution can be determined according to the actual projection content. If the content to be demonstrated is mainly general teaching and word processing, select SVGA(800×600), and if fine images (such as graphic design) are demonstrated, select XGA( 1024×768). Since the mainstream resolution of notebooks and desktops has reached the standard of XGA( 1024×768), it is suggested to buy a projector with XGA( 1024×768) resolution as much as possible if the budget allows.

3. Contrast: The nominal contrast of most LCD projectors is around 400: 1 (ANSI), while the nominal contrast of most DLP projectors is above 1500: 1 (all white/all black). The higher the contrast, the higher the price of the projector. If only the text and black-and-white pictures are demonstrated by a projector, a projector with a contrast ratio of about 400: 1 can meet the needs. If you use it to demonstrate color photos and play video animations, you'd better choose a high-contrast projector above 1000: 1.

The above three points are all factors that affect the image quality of the projector. You can choose products with appropriate parameters and prices according to your needs.
