What is glazed tile

Glazed tiles, also known as ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles or glazed terra cotta tiles, is a traditional bathroom wall tiles, is the clay or kaolin as the main raw material, plus a certain amount of co-solvent, after grinding, drying, mold building, glazing, sintering and molding of fine ceramic products. Glaze is a thin layer of vitreous covering the surface of ceramic tiles, with glass-like luster and transparency, making the surface of ceramic tiles dense, bright, non-absorbent, corrosion-resistant, weathering-resistant, easy to clean.

Glazed tiles have the following characteristics: -

① glazed tiles water absorption rate is not greater than 21%.

② acute cold and heat resistance refers to the glazed brick to withstand rapid changes in temperature without cracking the nature. Tests using the hot and cold temperature difference of 130 ℃ ± 2 ℃ .

③ glazed brick bending strength of the average value of not less than 16MPa, when the thickness of the brick is greater than or equal to 7.5mm, the bending strength of the average value of not less than 13MPa.

④ resistance to cracking by the cracking test, the glaze is not cracked.

⑤ glaze chemical corrosion resistance refers to the glaze's ability to resist corrosion under the action of acid and alkali solutions. Available pencil test and light reaction test method to identify the glaze in the acid and alkali solution under the action of the degree of corrosion, and in this way to determine the level of corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of glaze is divided into five levels: AA, A, 8, C and D. The corrosion resistance of glaze is divided into five levels.
