What are the traditions of the intangible heritage of Yushu?
Luo Zhuonima, the main living Buddha of the Zen Temple, said that the Zen Temple has a history of more than 700 years, and there are a large number of precious cultural relics in the temple, including more than 3,000 Buddha statues and hundreds of thousands of books in the temple.
Li Baodi, a brigade commander of this unit, said that on the evening of April 17, they received a call for help from the monks of the Zen Temple and arrived at the scene the next day. Up to now, more than 4000 pieces of cultural relics, such as Buddha statues, Thangka, scriptures, etc./kloc-0 have been excavated, and nearly 30,000 pieces of cultural relics have been transferred.
"In order to prevent the cultural relics from being destroyed again, the PLA has been digging by hand. There were monks in the temple during the whole looting and excavation, and no cultural relics were lost. Thanks to the People's Liberation Army, 90% of the cultural relics buried under the ruins were rescued. " Luozhuonima living Buddha said.
Yushu Prefecture is one of the regions with the deepest Tibetan Buddhist culture and the largest number of temples in China. Feng Xinglu, deputy director of Qinghai Provincial Department of Culture, Press and Publication and director of Qinghai Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, said that in the "4. 14" earthquake, two of the four national key cultural relics protection units in Yushu area were seriously damaged, and most of the 20 provincial cultural relics protection units were damaged.
Jiegu Temple, with more than 550 monks, is located on Daze Mountain in Pengcuo. It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist Sakya Temple in Yushu Prefecture. In a row of newly-built prefabricated houses in Jiegu Temple, two monks carefully opened the faded curtain, and a precious Thangka of the Basiba period in the 3rd century A.D./Kloc-0 was presented to the reporter.
Nima Cairen, director of the management committee of Jiegu Temple, said: "Only one week after the earthquake, the government helped us to build a prefabricated house to preserve important cultural relics such as Thangka, Buddha statues, scriptures and scriptures."
After the earthquake, nearly 70,000 tents were urgently transported from all parts of China to Yushu, and Yushu earthquake zone has become the "tent city" with the highest altitude in the world. Due to the limitation of transportation and local production and processing capacity, prefabricated houses have become a "scarce product" in the disaster area, and government agencies such as Yushu Earthquake Relief Headquarters in Qinghai Province are still working in tents.
On the evening of the 7th, at sunset, on the gentle slope on the north side of Jiegu Town Racecourse, a Tibetan two-story red building stood alone in the ruins. Known as the "encyclopedia of Tibet", the Dongcangli Tripitaka is preserved here.
The Tripitaka Sutra in Dongcangli is the oldest and most complete Tibetan classic in folk collection, with a history of 1000 years, and it is one of the most precious Tibetan cultural heritages in Yushu. During the earthquake, the Dongcangjia Tibetan Scripture Building in Datong Village, Zhaxi, Jiegu Town collapsed, and the Tripitaka was also buried under the ruins.
With the help of the officers and men of Qinghai Armed Police Corps, the Tripitaka Sutra finally came to light, and was safely transferred to this small Tibetan building that had been tested by the earthquake of magnitude 7. 1 on the fourth day after the earthquake, and was guarded by the armed police 24 hours a day.
"Before moving here, my family and I have been guarding the ruins of the buried Tripitaka and dare not fall asleep. After moving here, there are armed police standing guard, and we are much more relieved. " Dai Sang, a descendant of the Dongcang family, told reporters.
The reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau that the central government and Qinghai local government attached great importance to the rescue and restoration of damaged cultural relics in the Yushu earthquake, and are organizing relevant experts to conduct on-site investigation and evaluation, and study and formulate emergency restoration plans.
Under the introduction of Tashi Dawa, curator of Yushu Prefecture Group Art Museum, the reporter met Dawa Zaba, the rapper of Gesar, the world's longest heroic epic.
Dawazaba, who is in her thirties, is beating a passage from the epic Gesar to reporters. Later, he told reporters that as a rapper of Gesar, he can get a monthly subsidy from 500 yuan. In 2009, Gesar was officially listed in the representative list of human intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.
There are 13 Gesar rappers in Yushu prefecture, and 1 person was killed in the "4. 14" earthquake, and a large number of Gesar words and audio-visual rap materials were lost.
"Although the earthquake has caused us great losses, with the support of the government and the rescue and protection measures taken for Tibetan traditional culture, we will never be pessimistic and disappointed. We are confident that it will take another three to five years to re-excavate and sort out Gesar. " Tashi Dawa said.
Feng Xinglu told reporters that the restoration and protection of post-earthquake cultural relics in Yushu area is about to start in full swing.
Xie Zuo, a famous Tibetan scholar in Qinghai Province, said: "Every major natural disaster is a severe test of the inheritance of a regional civilization or a national traditional culture. Less than a month after the Yushu 7. 1 earthquake, so many precious Tibetan traditional cultural heritages were rescued, which in itself shows that the China government attaches importance to Tibetan traditional culture.
