Wang Shouren was a famous educator in the middle of Ming Dynasty. He taught at the age of 34 until his death, which lasted for 23 years. During this period, except for six years as a full-time lecturer, the rest were engaged in politics while giving lectures. Wherever he went, besides giving lectures, he was also enthusiastic about the construction of educational facilities and informally set up academies, social studies and schools, which objectively played a positive role in advocating the development of academies and schools and the rise of the wind of giving lectures after the middle of Ming Dynasty.

Philosophically, he was a master of subjective idealism in the Song and Ming Dynasties, and thought that "there is nothing outside the heart, and it is unreasonable outside the heart". His theory appeared in an anti-traditional manner and became popular for 150 years, forming Yangming school, the so-called "Yangming school of mind". Not only in China, but also spread to Japan and other countries. Although his theory played a positive role in impacting the idols of sages, the popularity of empty talk about mind and nature also affected the academic development and social progress after the middle of Ming Dynasty. He wrote biographies, university questions and records of Mr. Yang Ming all his life. Later generations compiled 38 volumes of Wang Wen's Book of Success.
