How to remove sulfur dioxide from hydrogen sulfide

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is discharged from the refinery after hydrodesulfurization. Through Claus process, about 95% of H2S discharged from hydrodesulfurization process is converted into elemental sulfur. Unreacted tail gas still contains about 0.3-0.5 vol% H2S and about 0.65-0.75 vol% SO2, respectively.

Main applications

Used for synthesizing phosphor, manufacturing electroluminescence, photoconductor, photoelectric exposure meter, etc. Reducing agent for organic synthesis. Used in metal refining, pesticide, medicine and catalyst regeneration. Universal reagent. Preparation of various sulfides.

It is used for the manufacture of inorganic sulfides and also for chemical analysis, such as the identification of metal ions.
