How to draw a parallelogram with only compasses

1. Choose any point on the paper as the starting point and fix it with one foot of the compass.

2. Adjust the opening size of the compass to make it equal to the length of one side of the parallelogram to be drawn.

3. Keep the size of the compass opening unchanged, take the starting point as the center, and use the other foot of the compass to rotate on the paper once, so that you can draw a circle.

4. Choose any two points on this circle, and these two points will be regarded as one side of the parallelogram.

5. Adjust the opening size of the compass again to make it equal to the length of the other side of the parallelogram to be drawn.

6. Take one of the two points you just selected as the starting point, use the adjusted compass to rotate on the paper once, and then draw a circle.

7. Choose a point on the second circle, which will be another vertex of the parallelogram.

8. Finally, connect these four points with a ruler to get a parallelogram.
