Haicheng history and culture

1. Intangible cultural heritage: Haicheng stilts is a traditional dance in Haicheng, Liaoning. Haicheng stilts are mainly represented by "twisting, teasing, wave and phase". "Twist" is the basic form of dance, "tease" is used to express feelings, "wave" is the aesthetic standard, and "drum posture" shows its style characteristics. On May 20th, 2006, Haicheng stilts were approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

2. Haicheng dialect: the local dialect of Liaoning Province, which is a local variant of northeastern mandarin, a sub-dialect of Beijing Mandarin dialect. In northeastern mandarin, unvoiced consonants with entering tone in ancient times are now divided into flat tones, rising tones, rising tones and falling tones, and there is no obvious law. However, there are many cases in which the ancient voiced sounds in northeastern mandarin are changed to the upper voice than in Beijing. The tone value of northeastern mandarin Four Tones is similar to that of Beijing Mandarin, but the tone value of Yin Ping is lower than that of Beijing.
