At present, the 5G+ industrial Internet is empowering thousands of industries. As Xia Han, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said, empowering thousands of industries to upgrade intelligently is the fundamental purpose of developing the 5G+ industrial Internet, and it is also the basic way to give play to the key support and important promotion role of the 5G+ industrial Internet in the construction of digital China and the process of new industrialization in China.
Create a 5G network that is "said to be done"
The latest "14th Five-Year Plan for Information and Communication Industry" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that there are more than 1 10,000 cases of 5G application innovation, covering 22 important industries of the national economy. The scale of application scenarios in vertical industries such as industrial manufacturing, mining and ports has been accelerated, from the initial production auxiliary business to the core business such as equipment control and quality control. At present, there are more than 1 1,800 5G+ industrial Internet projects under construction, more than 1 1,000 influential industrial Internet platforms and more than 76 million networked devices.

Chen Dongfeng, CEO of Inspur Group, also said that the traditional "best-effort" network can't meet the needs of key scenes of the industrial Internet, and the most prominent requirement of the industrial Internet for the network is "certainty", so a new network capability of "keeping promises" is needed.
Promote cost reduction through technical research
"The empowerment foundation of 5G+ industrial Internet is increasingly solid." Xia Han said that the three functional systems of industrial Internet network, platform and security have begun to take shape; Accelerate the breakthrough of difficult technologies such as large-scale transmission and high-precision positioning to meet the needs of industrial production; Key products such as industrial 5G modules and gateways have been launched one after another, and prices have dropped sharply.
But even so, the price of 5G modules is still too high. Yu Xiaohui said that in the process of promoting the continuous and in-depth application and empowerment of 5G+ industrial Internet, it is still necessary to solve the problem of high price of 5G modules.
"Now the price of 5G module is more than 10 of 4G module, of which 70% is the cost of the chip." Yu Xiaohui said that in this respect, on the one hand, modules can be streamlined, on the other hand, customization of modules should be promoted. The certainty of industrial scenes and objects allows modules to be simplified. By promoting the simplification and customization of the module, combined with the needs of the industry, the module can be truly low-cost and meet the needs of industrial scenes.
In addition, the industrial Internet has put forward new requirements for 5G. Wu, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, mentioned that the enterprise network urgently needs large bandwidth in the process from terminal to network, and it needs to overcome technical problems and further enhance its uplink capability by using technologies such as carrier aggregation.
Xia Han suggested that the network foundation can be consolidated, the production demand should be closely linked, the industrial 5G sliced virtual private network should be promoted, the deployment of hybrid virtual private network should be carried out, the pilot of 5G private network should be carried out, and the benchmark of 5G fully connected factory should be built, so as to form a good development model combining construction with use.
Accelerate the application of 5G+ industrial Internet empowerment
Yu Xiaohui admits that the development of 5G+ industrial Internet is still in its infancy. Although there have been many successful cases and practices, their transformation effect and cost reduction and efficiency enhancement have not yet fully appeared. It is expected that next year may be the growth period of 5G+ industrial Internet, and it will enter a large-scale growth period by 2024.
In addition, security is also the bottleneck of the development of industrial Internet. Wu Yunkun, president of Kai Anxin, said that the industrial Internet is facing a fragile software and hardware foundation, and its configuration and management can't keep up. The data flow is accelerated, and the risk of data leakage is intensified; The trust mechanism is extensive and the internal threats are getting worse.
It is reported that during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will further enhance its ability to monitor, defend and trace network security threats such as advanced persistent attacks to ensure the safe operation of basic communication networks; At the same time, make overall plans to promote the construction of national cyber security and data security industrial parks, cultivate leading cyber security enterprises with international competitiveness, carry out pilot demonstrations on the application of cyber security technologies, support the innovative application of security technologies in key information infrastructures, and improve the supply level of cyber security products and services.
