Literary Performance: The Beautiful Olympics (Preface)

Brush, ink, paper, ink stone, the four treasures of the literary house, set the essence of heaven and earth, the 5,000 years of civilization of the Chinese nation, displayed in the scroll of the brush, condensed into a treasure of the world. In the midst of the melodious music, the caravans and maps of the Silk Road from more than 2,000 years ago emerged on a long scroll, and thousands of sailors, holding huge yellow oars, formed a huge flotilla, recreating the grandeur of Zheng He's voyage to the West China Sea.

Music, giant oars flying, the sea and sky, waves, two fleet of ships such as a giant dragon flying, the audience cheered like a tide.

Painting

The external master of creation, the central source of the heart.

Between heaven and earth, the painting flows, the ink haloing; heaven and earth is dense, all things are mellow. A long scroll of Chinese paintings expresses the unique space-time concept and philosophical spirit of oriental aesthetics.

The scroll expresses the origin and development of Chinese history and culture. Brush, ink, paper and inkstone are the four treasures of China

1. A real Chinese scroll opens. It tells people that tonight's show will start with a Chinese scroll.

2. In the center of the scroll, a piece of white paper is laid out. Papermaking, one of the four great inventions of ancient China.

2. The flag dancers are dressed as terracotta warriors. On a moving stage, four Peking opera puppets and 800 actors perform joyous scenes of triumph, accompanied by Jinghu and gongs.

Silk Road

The mountains are heavy and there is no way out.

Out of the Yangguan Pass, down the Western Ocean, erecting the Silk Road. The Silk Road connects space, time, and the heart; it crosses mountains and deserts, rivers and lakes, and travels through the dust of history, connecting the hearts of people in the East and the West.

The Silk Road is an important channel for economic and cultural exchanges between China and the West.

1. The actors hold up this piece of paper and walk forward. On the ground is a map of the Silk Road and cultural symbols along the way.

2. The Silk Road is famous for the fact that more than 2,000 years ago, Chinese caravans often traveled from Chang'an (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi Province) through the Hexi Corridor and into the European continent, carrying valuable silks. "The Silk Road became an important channel for economic and cultural exchanges between China and the West.

Then, the actors changed shape, green as before, instantly built a huge "bird's nest" in the center of the field, flashing green and silver intertwined light. This scene of sound, light, electricity in the human body on the delicate changes, full of spirituality and magic, leaving an unforgettable impression.

Starlight

New era, new colors, new paintings.

People's happiness and living and working in peace and contentment add youthful colors to the ancient picture scroll.

The scroll of youth extends toward the future in the boundless starlight.

Infinite starlight, romantic melody, the ancient scroll extends in the new era, implying a happier and more harmonious life today.

1. A pianist and a child play a romantic melody to usher in a brand new era. This is Lang Lang, a young Chinese pianist. This little girl playing with Lang Lang is only 5 years old, and she has been learning the piano since she was 4 years old.

2. The ancient scroll stretches out in the boundless starlight, implying that today's road is more beautiful and broader.

3. The modern part of the performance jumps from black and white to color in a gorgeous style.

4. 1,000 performers built a "bird's nest" and a lovely kite flew in the air.

Nature

The earth and the sky are one with me, and all things are one with me.

The dream of human beings to fly, the desire to get close to nature, the wind of Taiji fills the universe.

The performance of Tai Chi embodies the mingling of tradition and the future, and expresses the harmony between man and nature, reaching the realm of the unity of heaven and man.

1. Taijiquan is one of the most representative styles of Chinese martial arts. It is characterized by "combination of static and dynamic, rigid and flexible".

2. The multimedia performance vividly expresses the ancient philosophical concept of Chinese Kung Fu: the harmony between human and nature.

3. "Flying down three thousand feet, suspected to be the Milky Way falling into the nine heavens." This is a poetic expression of the famous line by Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai.

4. The Taiji Bagua diagram symbolizes the eight natural phenomena of heaven, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and zephyr, which derive the changes of all things in the world.

5. 2008 Taiji actors are lined up in a circular formation. In the traditional Chinese concept, circle is big and complete. This formation is called "Heaven is Round, Earth is Square".

6. The sun, moon, mountains and rivers, which were painted by ancient people, were colored green by the children to express the idea of environmental protection. This is also the core concept of Chinese Tai Chi: "the unity of heaven and mankind".

Blue Planet

Olympic opening history, the largest, heaviest, the latest high-tech model of 18 meters in diameter, weighing 16 tons of liquid crystal planet, only the design, manufacture and installation of this multimedia "Earth" spent more than a year.

Planet in the sky, changing colors and patterns, many actors walking on the "Earth", seems to be out of gravity, full of dreamy colors; sports competitions in the "Earth" interpretation of "faster, Higher, stronger" Olympic spirit.

"You and I, heart to heart, live in the same global village. For the dream, thousands of miles, meet in Beijing ......" London, England singer Sarah Brightman and Chinese singer Liu Huan sang the theme song of the Beijing XXIX Olympic Games "I and You" with deep emotion. This not only reflects the "internationalization" of the combination of Chinese and foreign, but also makes the Beijing Olympic Games and the London Olympic Games hand in hand. The stadium showed 2008 smiling faces of children from all over the world, and the projection screen above the stadium also showed the smiling faces of the children.
