How to maintain fishing rod

Maintenance of fishing rod:

In addition to careful use, don't put it on rocks and beaches at will. The key is to carefully maintain the fishing rod when you go home after fishing.

First of all, the weather is sunny and suitable for fishing. The fishing rod is exposed to the sun for a day, and the natural water in the rod is consumed a lot. If the rod is closed again, it will form a "dead rod" and lose its elasticity. One day it will suddenly break due to lack of elasticity.

Maintenance method:

When you go home after fishing, first rub the fishing rod back and forth with a hot and wet towel (about 50 degrees). This is called replenishing water. After drying for 20 minutes, coat a piece of flannel with car wax (if there is no car wax, you can light a candle and drop it on the flannel), wrap the fishing rod and rub it gently (called waxing), and finally dry the fishing rod overnight.

Second, fishing in rainy days, the fishing rod was wet by the rain. Although the fishing rod was wiped with cloth that day, the humidity was still very high, and the fishing rod would still feel a little wet the next day. In the long run, not only will the surface of the fishing rod peel off, but it will gradually weather (especially in the second or even the first three sections of the fishing rod), and it will break at a certain moment when you catch weeds or fish.

The maintenance method of this situation is relatively simple, that is, after fishing in the rain, you must clean every section of the fishing rod with a dry cloth when you go home, and then arrange to dry it in a ventilated place for the night.

In addition, the fishing rod should be waxed regularly and maintained frequently, which can not only support the fishing rod well when it is used, but also prolong its service life.
